A digital garden is a collection of notes organized by association instead of by date. Posts don’t scroll into oblivion; they accumulate links and get revisited.

Two properties matter here:

  1. Bidirectional links. When note A links to note B, B automatically knows about A — check the backlinks panel below on this page.
  2. Topology over chronology. The graph view shows the actual shape of the thinking, which a reverse-chronological feed hides.
